I dream of a day on the beach, a beach with children running all about, laughing and giggling, making sand castles, splashing in the water and racing out as far as they can go.
I dream of the smell of popcorn, as I wait for the movie to start. My beautiful wife cuddling close and my children laughing at the funny pictures they see on the screen; the glee from the movie going on home, and bringing smiles to young faces. Oh to dream of being a kid again, when everyone is your friend. Oh to dream of never being alone and always being happy. But that I’m afraid is just a dream that can never be a reality. The loneliness inside destroys that dream, and the dream sifts through my fingers like sand and fades away into the fog.
