Dear Jesus, how I love you. How can I be so vain?

Putting up with my repeated sins, yet still forgiving

Insolent and foolish, tempting fate, testing mercy

Sinning, knowing it angers You, trusting to grace

Jesus Christ, my Savior, I do love you so much

So caring, forgiving, strong, shedding blood for me

Protective. Comforting me when I am depressed

Picking me up when I can’t go on, wiping away tears

Grief melts away, strengthen me in Your arms of love

Shield me from the devil’s wiles, be my battle sword

Help me fight, trust, and hold true to the Word of God

Lord, I do love you, although I don’t show it well

Thank you for understanding, supporting, guiding

You still forgive me, care about me, protect me

But best of all

You love me!
