Pirates
What’s that I see, over there in the distance?
A skull and cross-bones, a blowin’ in the wind
Oh no! What do I do?
They’ve come alongside, prepare to fight
Aboard they come, parrot, eye patches an’ all
We’re outnumbered five-to-one
What do I do? I’m just so scared
I draw my sword, that’s what!
Dive into the disorientating fray
The battle around me a whirlwind
I know not who is winning, but I doubt we are
Fight for my life, an’ kill these greedy buggers
Mercilessly knocked down as a cheer goes up
Suddenly noticing I am the last man of our crew
My sword is gone, lost among the feet of pirates
A proud grin appears on the face of my challenger
He makes a dive, to run me through, as I crouch there
My dagger swings up, zinging through the air
Landing with a thud, right in his dirty throat
Dozens of filthy hands grab me from all directions
“We’ll make ‘im walk the plank,” they say
What do I do? I’m bound to die, an’ all tied up
A bad omen on a dreary day
Out on the plank I walk, as the wind picks up
A drop of rain is felt, as I walk farther out
My time runs out, and so does the plank
I fall and fall, landing with a splash
I can’t swim with my arms tied so
I am beginning to sink, but suddenly feel light
I am soaring up into the sky, to meet my wife
Who’s waited there all these years
